Mr. Nazmi Pllana has been elected President of the Mediterranean Federation of Accountants (FCM)

The Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo (SCAAK) announces that its member, Mr. Nazmi Pllana, has been elected President of the Mediterranean Federation of Accountants (FCM – Fédération des Experts Comptables Méditerranéens) for the upcoming 2026/2027 mandate. This is an important achievement for SCAAK, for the accountancy profession in Kosovo, and for the representation of our country in the international arena.

The Mediterranean Federation of Accountants (FCM) represents the accountancy profession in the Mediterranean area. Its membership is composed of 17 professional organizations of accountants and auditors from 14 Mediterranean countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Kosovo, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Türkiye and the United Kingdom. Through this network, FCM promotes professional exchange, the harmonization of standards and the strengthening of the role of the accountancy profession in economic development and good governance.

The election of Mr. Pllana as President of FCM is a testimony to the trust and recognition of his professional engagement, his many years of contribution to the development of the profession and financial reporting standards, as well as to the reputation that SCAAK and the community of accountants in Kosovo have built over the years. This new position will enable an even stronger voice for Kosovo in regional and international discussions related to the accountancy and auditing profession.

SCAAK will continue to strongly support Mr. Pllana in his new role, contributing to the joint agenda of increasing financial transparency, strengthening professionalism and promoting high ethical standards in all FCM member countries.
